Dear Dragos Tatulea,
We are contacting you because your netdev 0x18 session vDPA Live Migration Downtime improvements for net devices is marked as being presented remotely. 2 of the 3 presenters will be present. Only my part of the presentation will be done remotely. I will record it.
Also, would it be possible to allocate another 10 minutes extra for our talk? We want to to make sure we can cover all our topics and have some time for Q&A as well. Thanks, Dragos
For remote speakers we ask to have the presentation prerecorded as to avoid technical issues during the event.
We provide some time slots to help in this task in here: https://calendar.app.google/AqbKvEhqeiFTbAdj7
If you are willing to record the presentation video by yourself, please be sure to checklist the following criteria:
- Minimum resolution should be Full HD (1080p) in widescreen format. - Please be sure to capture good audio, this is even more important than video to have your message reach the audiance. - Please record yourself in a clean background and with enough light as to be easily distinguishable. Please be sure to not cover important content from your slides. - Any codec and video container is fine. People tend to like h264 for video and aac for audio. - If you need references, please look at netdev 0x17 remote sessions: - XDP Offload using Nanotube - by Neil Turton (https://youtu.be/e8zv-F2VL5g?t=113) - Is scaling eBPF easy yet? - by Ivan Koveshnikov (https://youtu.be/TGgIT9rMsns) - Synce4l: open-source implementation of Synchronous Ethernet - by Michał Michalik and Arkadiusz Kubalewski (https://youtu.be/sbR-pf3sWuc)

In addition, it looks like our session got re-scheduled to 3:10 – 3:40 PM on Tuesday. This will not be convenient for Dragos, as he would need to stay up until very late to attend the Q&A remotely (he's in Europe in the UTC+2 timezone). It would be nice if our session could be scheduled to the morning.

I am afraid we didnt respond to you because we were trying hard to see if we can move you around but no luck. The best we can do is make you the first talk in that slot i.e at 2:35. We'll continue trying but it is going to be hard - we've had many such complaints by other people so we're juggling. cheers, jamal
Thanks! -Siwei

Thanks for accommodating, the revised schedule at 2:35pm works for us.
