Dear Alexander,
The Netdev 0x18 program committee is delighted to inform you that your submission #21 has been accepted to appear in the conference.
Title: how Linux tracing can use the net/ subsystem Authors: Alexander Aring (Red Hat) Site: https://0x18.netdevconf.info/paper/21?cap=021amwLawEz1Jq8
Congratulations!
Comments from the PC seem to indicate that this is really a moonshot and seeks like a kind of a wild ideal that may not be super useful as there aren't many systems in real-world use cases that have a NIC to spare.
An ask from the PC is if there is a working proof of concept for this already out there? If so could that be called out in the abstract. Also it isn't entirely clear how a NIC ring could be used for this as the DMA may be an obstacle.
